Hello my Friends and Welcome Back,
I’ve missed writing for the last couple of days…errr…maybe weeks…sorry for that…but i hope you’re all having a fantastic week so far… sending BIG virtual hugs to all of you!!!
I can’t believe we are already half way into 2015…seems like this year is Flying By!!! I’d love to hear how your year has been so far, so please leave me comments down below 🙂
Anyways, so at the beginning of the year I’d promised myself that one of my goals to achieve for 2015 would be Fitness….to concentrate more on my Health…not so much of losing weight (which btw i desperately need to do),but more so to gain strength…to be fit. Now it’s May already, and it would be safe to say I’ve done nothing noteworthy in that department so far….which is quite a shame 😦 … Until recently when I was doing what I love to do -YouTube and discovered Yoga With Adriene….and boom….life changed! ❤
I can not rave enough about Adriene and how much I’ve come to love and embrace what her teachings are through her channel https://www.youtube.com/user/yogawithadriene.
I’ve been following her 30 Days of Yoga Series and it is the BEST thing that I’ve done this year for my body and mind. Now, to tell you a bit more, 30 Days of Yoga is a series wherein she has 30 Yoga videos – one for each day of the month (Duh!) and she takes you through various postures and practices. The best thing about this 30 Day Series for me has been that Adriene consciously keeps in mind her audience….meaning that if you’re someone completely new to yoga (like myself), she will encourage you to take on the challenge at your own sweet pace….she will keep reminding you to not ‘rush’….to keep it sweet and gentle and above all….to Find What Feels Good!
No matter what age you are, what background or what body type… this programme is for you. There’s something for everyone here! If you think ‘oh I’m so not flexible’ or ‘I can never do that posture’ or ‘I’m not the Yoga type‘ … let yourself free and give this a try! I guarantee you will be a different person within a week 🙂
Adriene is hilarious and that’s the first thing you will notice about her….and I feel that is what makes her so unique…because she knows how to connect with you…how to make you feel comfortable and feel good about yourself. There are modifications that make every posture and practice easier, so no matter what level you are on….you will slowly ease through to the next.
I’ve been following the 30 day practice for over a week now and I’ve never felt better about myself and my surroundings…I do my 30 minutes each day without fail and by the end of it I’m not only calmer, but I feel stronger, more flexible, happier and pretty much like life is perfect and that I want to be a better person than I am today!
